Job Description:

Note to applicant: This position is fully remote.

This role will use knowledge and experience to provide technical leadership and formal mentorship to team members in an agile community of practice. In addition to acting as a Software Engineer, you’ll foster self-organized agile practices, while ensuring the team is adhering to best practices and is committed to continuous learning.

What will I do?

• Use knowledge and experience to provide technical leadership to an agile capabilities team by mentoring and providing technical proficiency and domain knowledge feedback
• Proactively drive discussions with peers, leadership and architecture to remove technical impediments and achieve solutions
• Foster self-organized agile practices and the consistent use of best practices for architecture, design, implementation, and security standards, ensuring the team is able to manage sprint work independently
• Partner closely with Solution Architect to foster two-way communication on aligning solution and software architecture practices
• Proactively identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities
• Improve performance of existing software by diagnosing and resolving critical issues in participation of on-call support rotation

Required Qualifications

• 3 or more years of software engineering experience including delivering a project end-to-end in an agile environment
• Strong proficiency in one or more coding languages (.net, C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Swift, Kotlin, etc.- depending on focus area of opening)
• Experience designing a large-scale software solution based on architectural requirements
• Ability to quickly build credibility, build relationships and influence decisions across teams
• Experience formally mentoring others

​ Preferred Qualifications

• 5 or more years of software engineering experience
• Master’s Degree preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, Math
