Lead Rust/Java Developer - REMOTE

Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Lead Rust/Java Developer. This is a hands-on role.  While our headquarters location is St. Louis, MO, this position is remote and can be based anywhere within the United States and will be working CT zones.

Job Overview:

As a Lead Rust /Java Developer you will participate in all aspects of the software development life-cycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will work with solution architects and developers on interpretation/translation of creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design. 

• Lead the technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimate, develop, test, manage projects, architect and deliver.
• Serve as a technical lead and mentor.  Provide technical support or leadership in the development and continual improvement of service.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.
• Document technical specifications based off of user stories, and lead development teams to deliver code that supports the technical specifications.
• Set the technical direction for development teams, and ensure that standards and best practices are adhered to.
• Ensure that all technical issues are resolved in a timely manner and technical team deliverables are on time and of high quality. 

• Passionate coder with 10+ years of application development experience.
• You are a Java expert, with experience and familiarity building modern Spring applications with Spring Boot; you have a strong background with Spring and related projects
• MUST have hands on experience with Rust
• Hands-on experience with SOAP and RESTful service implementations
• Experience building distributed / service oriented / microservice-style and cloud based architectures
• Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) preferred …
