Lead, Residential Solar Monitoring & Service

Job Summary:
As Lead, Residential Solar Monitoring and Service, you will play a key role in leading a team that oversees the performance and maintenance of our residential solar portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring system performance, resolving maintenance issues, managing service invoices, and ensuring seamless communication between internal teams, contractors, and customers. Additionally, you will provide guidance, training, and oversight to the monitoring service team, fostering strong relationships with service providers, and driving operational efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead System Performance & Service Operations:
Oversee a portfolio of installed solar systems, using monitoring platforms to proactively identify and troubleshoot performance issues.
Track, analyze, and report on system behavior, including degradation, production, and underperformance, ensuring optimal performance.
Coordinate with third-party service providers and internal teams to resolve maintenance issues quickly and efficiently.
Ensure accurate tracking and resolution of long-term maintenance issues, escalating concerns as needed.
Identify, develop, and implement new processes to improve monitoring practices
Lead & Support the Team:
Mentor and support monitoring and service team, providing training, guidance, and day-to-day leadership to ensure high-quality service execution.
Oversee scheduling and coordination of maintenance requests, ensuring seamless communication between customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure all service cases are managed efficiently from origination to closure, maintaining a high standard of customer service and issue resolution.
Support RS Service Partners in auditing service quality, gathering feedback from customers, and refining service processes for continuous improvement.
Foster strong relationships with service providers, ensuring alignment with company service standards and expectations.
Monitor contractor performance, compliance, and adherence to service level agreements, addressing any concerns proactively.
Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve contractor payment or remittance issues, ensuring smooth and timely payments.
Review contractor expenses and approve invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and alignment with budget expectations.
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:
Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine workflows that enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
Lead analysis of reports on system performance, maintenance trends, and service case resolutions to drive data-driven decision-making.
Ensure team maintains detailed documentation related to site visits, maintenance requests, and service activities, ensuring transparency and compliance.
Audit documentation to ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with best practices
Contribute to special projects and initiatives to support the continued growth and success of the Residential Solar business.
Coordinate with leadership to identify and mitigate areas of risk exposure

Minimum Education and Experience:
Degree in Business Administration, IT, Operations, Renewable Energy focused, or other applicable fields of study a plus, but not required
5+ years experience in the Solar or Energy industry
Familiarity with multiple Residential Solar system architectures
3+ years of experience using Excel for analysis and as a tool to communicate complex data effectively
Solar Installation knowledge preferred

Salary Range:
$58,820.00 - $94,110.00*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
