Description

As one of simpleclub’s Lead Engineers, you will play a key role in building a product and team that will impact the way millions of students experience education and learning. 
Working closely with our VP of Engineering and our wider technical and product leadership you will help solve for promoting empowerment and building a highly motivating and productive environment and teams, focused on bringing high value to our users. 
You will lead and work together with a team of engineers focused on content discovery, learning management and tools, ensuring an intuitive learning experience to our user.

How will you make an impact:

• Lead a cross-functional agile team, continuously developing simpleclub’s mobile and web application and products such as our learning tools and content discovery
• Actively develop new features and products to a high degree of quality and maintain existing systems 
• Work with other engineers to promote best practices in software architecture, design, development, delivery and operations
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams of Product Managers, designers in the research and validation phases
• Actively participate in the discussions and setting of the product and technical OKRs for your team to drive impact to our users 
• Mentoring other (senior) engineers, coaching and inspiring them to excel and develop in their craft

What we value:

• Experience leading a development team contributing to multiple simultaneous product development efforts and initiatives
• Sound knowledge of Frontend development for Android, iOS and Web platforms
• Advanced proficiency in Flutter, with a thorough grasp of both essential and complex components of the framework showcased by open-source contributions, personal projects or similar equivalent.
• Strong computer science and software development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design and complexity analysis
• Ability to work and lead through change and ambiguity whilst inspiring others
• Excellent interpersonal skills, valuing and fostering teamwork not just within the engineering team; knowledge sharing, sense of ownership embracing agile development practices

💰Your salary: We 💙 transparency. We have different levels within our salary bands, and we use these levels to determine a fair salary for each range. Your salary is reviewed at least once a year.The salary band for this role in Germany is: 81.200-109.800 EUR annually gross. If you live outside of Germany, we will adapt to your local market.
We are in the process of rolling out salary bands in job descriptions to ensure we treat all employees fairly. Once we get to know each other better and your skills & experience during the interview process, we will be able to evaluate where you would fit within the salary band.
