What You Will Do

Serve as the key finance partner to R&D and New Product Development (NPD) teams across the Spine business unit. As the Lead Financial Analyst, you will also be responsible for top line sales and standard cogs. Primary responsibilities include financial forecasting/budgeting, month end close, reporting, expense management, financial modeling and ad hoc analysis.

  • Drive accountability and accuracy in financial results and projections. Ensure expenses are effectively managed throughout the year and communicate analysis to influence business changes to improve financial position.
  • Participate in month-end close activities including but not limited to variance analysis, reporting, and financial reviews with business leaders. Offer invaluable business insights and identify avenues for improvement.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop the annual budgets and quarterly projections, provide analysis and commentary on main drivers and spend activity.
  • Partner with the cross-functional NPD teams to build business case financial models. Utilize industry and financial knowledge to challenge assumptions and ensure the financial viability and accuracy of all aspects of the NPD business case and launch plan. Calculate NPV and IRR and present the business case models to leadership.
  • Implement process improvements and efficiencies across all reporting and planning processes.
  • Manage and lead various ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Ensure familiarity and correct application of GAAP accounting standards as well as Corporate compliance policies and principles.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
  • 4+ years of related accounting or finance experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, JDE, BPC and Hyperion Financial Management
  • Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, take initiative, and be able to influence appropriately and effectively

$75,300 - $156,900 salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data.  Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location.  Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. 

Travel Percentage: 10%
