Position SummaryUnder general direction, instructs, directs, and reviews the work of the team in accordance with project demands. Serves as the operational point of contact for the team and manages escalation of issues as needed. Supports the management of the timeline through break out plans.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Determines and delegates objectives and task responsibilities to individuals or teams — as appropriate. Sets the quality, performance and capability targets in line with organizational goals. Monitors performance and working relationships and provides effective feedback to address individual issues. Encourages individual development of skills and capabilities in line with team and personal goals. Facilitates the development of individuals by adjusting workload, targets, and team capacity.

  • Ensures that service delivery meets agreed service levels.  Diagnoses service delivery problems and initiates actions to maintain or improve levels of service.  Establishes and maintains operational methods, procedures and facilities and reviews them regularly for effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Investigates escalated, non-routine and high-impact incidents to responsible service owners and seeks resolution.  Facilitates recovery, following resolution of incidents. Ensures that resolved incidents are properly documented and closed.  Analyses metrics and reports on the performance of the incident management process.

  • Leads the development of workforce plans to ensure the availability of appropriately skilled resources to meet organizational objectives and commitments.

  • Ensures that all requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures.  Drafts and maintains procedures and documentation for applications support.

  • Manages application enhancements to improve business performance.

  • May be part of an after-hours on-call rotation.

Salary Range$75,200.00 - $128,800.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
