About the Role

Are you an experienced and innovative DevOps Engineer or SRE seeking to lead and drive excellence in the blockchain technology space? Look no further! Figment, a pioneering blockchain technology company, is in search of a seasoned individual to spearhead our DevOps initiatives as a Lead DevOps Engineer. 

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and manage blockchain nodes at scale
  • Design and implement advanced solutions for optimal system performance and availability
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis for complex issues across development, test, and production environments 
  • Architect and maintain robust system automation frameworks and configuration management strategies
  • Champion high availability and scalability solutions for our systems, ensuring seamless operation under high loads
  • Participate in on-call activity and provide support for production systems
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or SRE role, with a proven track record of success in designing and managing scalable infrastructure
  • Advanced proficiency in system engineering and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes
  • In-depth experience supporting Linux servers in large environments with over 500 servers, preferably in highly secure and highly available 24/7 environments
  • Deep troubleshooting expertise to quickly identify server, network, and application issues, and methodical approach to implementing, testing, and measuring changes to remediate issues.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex application flows which span multiple clusters of systems.
  • Knowledge of common OS and application level settings to optimize system performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and working effectively in remote or distributed team environments

Base Salary: The CAD base salary range for this position is CAD $160,000 - $180,000. The US base salary range for this position is USD $160,000 - $180,000. This range reflects base salary only, and does not include additional compensation or benefits. For candidates in other countries, the pay range will be disclosed upon your first interview with Figment (being a globally remote company, the list of salary ranges would simply be too long to note here!). The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum range for a new hire across all Canada or the US. A candidate’s specific pay within the range will be determined by various factors including job-related skills, relevant education, and training.
