About the Position

As an Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for maximizing the sale of Telematics equipment and parts and services for Kenco Fleet Services Business within an assigned territory or area to meet sales objectives.

 

Functions

  • Service existing accounts by supporting national account manager.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify and address client needs by offering tailored telematics solutions.
  • Perform hands-on telematics installations, troubleshooting, and repairs at client locations or company facilities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical and account-related inquiries.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and system optimizations for clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client accounts and ensure successful service delivery.
  • Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, service activities, and account management updates. 
  • Maintain and strengthen customer partnerships with onsite visits.
  • Quote and Submit order for new, used and rental material handling equipment. This includes rack and allied equipment.
  • Coordinate and actively manage material handling equipment delivery, installation and project management activities.
  • Develop presentations for quarterly business reviews with customer.
  • Schedule business travel and manage calendar.
  • Manage expense account and complete expense reports on time.
  • Proactively manage customers’ material handling fleet.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Manage remote vendors and subcontractors.
  • Track material handling equipment data to assist customers with efficiency and cost savings goals.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Provide and communicate key performance indicators to customers on an as needed basis.
  • Understand, create and communicate budgets.
  • Manage lease and financial transactions for material handling equipment.

                                                                                                           

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required or equivalent years of experience required. Equivalent years of sales experience is defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.
  • Hands-on technical experience as a service technician, particularly with telematics, automotive, or electronic systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform installations, repairs, and diagnostics.
  • Relevant certifications or training in telematics or related technology (preferred).
  • Knowledge of territory geography highly desirable.
  • The ability to set and execute growth driven strategy.
  • Ability to work independently with the capability to prioritize assignments. 
  • Strong communication, organizational, & time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, strong sense of responsibility & self-motivation, and ability to work in a team environment are necessary.

Travel Requirements

  • This position is expected to travel approximately 60% or less.
  •  A passport is not required, but recommended.
