Opportunity

Quick Quack offers an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer to
be an integral part of our thriving, growing business. They will be responsible for contributing to our
Android app development efforts. They will assist in maintaining and developing proprietary APIs and
consumer-facing technologies. This role will work with a team of developers to ensure all code meets
professional standards and business goals. They will be expected to provide input on design and
implementation in a team environment and work effectively during sprint sessions.

Responsibilities

• Work within a cross-functional team to develop and support multiple features.
• Implement new features and fix bugs for Android application.
• Have a customer-focused mindset to create the best solutions for the user.
• Stay up to date on the latest advances and technologies. Share knowledge with others.
• Participate in team on-call support for the products and responds to incidents outside of normal
working hours.

Skills & Requirements


• Solid, hands-on Android development experience, with 1 to 2 years of experience.
• Experience developing native Android apps using Kotlin.
• Experience with or eager to learn Android Jetpack Compose.
• Familiarity with Android UI best practices.
• Familiarity with Android architectural patterns (MVC, MVP, MVVM, etc.).
• Ability to solve complicated problems with robust solutions.
• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical coworkers.
• A positive attitude and eagerness to receive feedback and grow as a developer.

You must also have the following business skills


• Enjoy working with others in a team atmosphere.
• Enjoy maintaining/enhancing code to meet changing customer and industry needs.
• Ability to think critically and work through problems while recommending code improvements
to improve products.
• Knowledge of correct English usage, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and composition.
• Ability to act independently and make minor decisions based on established procedures.

Additional Qualifications


Though not required, preferred candidates have experience with or eager to learn the following:
• Building Android applications from scratch.
• Practical experience with the Google Play Store distribution process, including app signing and
publishing.
• Experience with Android testing frameworks and unit testing.
• Familiarity with UI design tools like Figma.
• Practical knowledge of REST/JSON web services and event-driven design patterns.

Travel


May have to travel a few times a year for onsite team events and training.

Salary Range

$70,000-$80,000
