Are you a junior developer looking to pivot your career into site reliability? IDEXX has an exciting new role of Junior Site Reliability Engineer working on our new software product Vello!  

We are open to this role being remote, or based hybrid in our Westbrook, ME HQ 

But what is Vello? Vello is a recent addition to our product portfolio. It is a pet owner engagement platform, which streamlines the way veterinary clinics can connect to pet owners. It integrates with our practice management software's, ezyVet, Neo and Cornerstone, improving compliance, reducing no shows and fostering productive conversations, while reducing time spent on the phone for our customers!

With a focus on software solutions, we are dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of pets, people, and livestock around the world. A bit more about the role, you will:  

  • Supporting the reliability of the Vello application  

  • Proactively monitoring and debugging issues  

  • Handling incoming requests like data changes and compliance 

  •  Automation of manual tasks  

  • Handling load testing  

  • Assisting Vello development teams where required  

So what are we looking for?  

  • Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript  

  • Experience working with AWS  

  • Experience with database query such as Postgres or DynamoDB  

  • Exposure to working with infrastructure as code  

  • Exposure to working with CI/CD, eg GitHub actions or Jenkins  

  • Exposure to APM monitoring skills a plus 

  • Great communication skills  

  • A passion for automation  

  • A drive to learn!   

What you can expect from us:  

  • Salary of $65,000 - $82,000 

  • Opportunity for annual cash bonus
