Job Description
The Junior Sales Associate - Customs plays an important role in supporting our Sales Representative by handling key administrative and client engagement tasks within the customs brokerage sales cycle. This position ensures accurate and timely client interactions while allowing senior team members to focus on relationship-building and closing opportunities. It’s an excellent entry point into the international trade industry, offering exposure to client service, customs processes, and career growth in sales or logistics.
Major duties and responsibilities include:
Respond to inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, chat, text, and WhatsApp, qualifying leads before escalating to the Senior Sales Representative.
Guide prospective clients - primarily importers - through the completion of required customs and onboarding documentation.
Review and organize documents to ensure accuracy and compliance before submitting to the Operations team, with particular attention to U.S. customs requirements.
Assist in scheduling follow-up calls and maintaining ongoing contact with potential clients to support the sales pipeline.
Provide administrative support to the senior sales team to enhance overall responsiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 1-2 years of customer service or inside sales experience (required).
- Experience in customs brokerage or logistics (preferred but not required).
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively engage with clients, customs authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and reliability.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a proven team player—seriously, demonstrate it.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and CRM systems.
- Proficiency with computers and software; detail-oriented, resourceful, and eager to learn.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French or Mandarin are considered assets (preferred but not required).

Working Conditions:
- Our standard work schedule is 37.5 hours per week. Given our business operates around the clock, 24/7/365, you may be required to work some additional hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
- Hourly wage for this position ranges from $18.00 - $20 per hour per hour based on experience with additional variable commission-based opportunities based on sales performance.
- 100% remote role (you will be provided with all the IT equipment required to successfully complete your tasks), candidates must reside and work from within Canada.
