Position Summary

A Junior IT Solutions Developer to assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions to meet our organization's needs. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment while contributing to innovative IT projects. The ideal candidate is eager to develop their technical skills, collaborate with teams, and solve real-world problems using technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in Development: Support the design, development, and implementation of software applications under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Code Maintenance: Write, test, and debug code to ensure software reliability and performance.
  • System Integration Support: Help integrate third-party systems and tools to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Requirement Gathering: Work with stakeholders and senior developers to understand business requirements and contribute to solution designs.
  • Learning and Development: Stay updated on new technologies and practices to enhance technical skills.
  • Documentation: Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation for solutions, processes, and codebases.
  • Support Tasks: Provide basic troubleshooting and support for existing systems and applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or relevant coursework/experience).
  • Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Basic understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and web technologies.
  • Willingness to learn software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to take on challenges.

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Internship or academic project experience in software development or IT solutions.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles.
