Summary of the Role 

 In our 9-week, paid, and fully-remote program, interns can expect to work with a team of Kaplan employees on day-to-day functions and projects that contribute to company-wide business initiatives. While gaining comprehensive real world experience, interns will also engage through weekly small group meetings and workshops, designed around professional development, leadership, and direct networking with leaders across Kaplan.  

  • As a Jira and Confluence Administration Intern, the intern will be immersed in the world of Atlassian products, focusing on Jira and Confluence. 

  • This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing, configuring, and optimizing these powerful tools to support project management and team collaboration in a dynamic business environment such as KNA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engage and participate in leadership workshops covering topics such as: Mentorship, Professional Development, and Networking opportunities 
  • Interns must be available for the 9-week program from (June 2, 2025 - August 1, 2025)

Jira Administration:

  • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of Jira projects, workflows, permissions, and screens.
  • Support the creation and management of custom reports and dashboards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and translate their project management needs into Jira configurations.
  • Participate in the integration of Jira with other tools and systems.

Confluence Administration:

  • Help set up and maintain Confluence spaces, including page layouts, permissions, and templates.
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize Confluence for knowledge sharing and documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of Confluence-based intranet portals or documentation sites.

Training and Support:

  • Assist in creating training materials and user guides for Jira and Confluence.
  • Provide basic support to end-users and help resolve Jira and Confluence usage issues.

Project Involvement:

  • Engage in various projects to understand the practical applications of Jira and Confluence in project management and team collaboration.
  • Participate in meetings and provide insights on how to improve processes using Jira and Confluence.

Education & Experience

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program
  • Active undergraduate student in their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated academic achievement 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Enthusiastic and has a growth mindset, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities, adaptable, a critical thinker, organized and collaborative
  • Basic understanding of project management principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Atlassin Products (Jira and Confluence)
