IT Systems Analyst (Hybrid Remote)

This position allows for 2 days per week remote / work from home after training. Salary: $90,000 - 105,000/yearThe Systems Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing IT systems to support operations. This role requires strong analytical skills and expertise in SQL for data management and analysis. The Systems Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the efficient functioning of IT systems and address any issues or enhancements needed.

Responsibilities

• System Analysis and Design: Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for banking IT systems. Design solutions that improve system performance, reliability, and functionality.
• SQL Management: Use SQL to query, analyze, and manage data within banking systems. Develop and optimize SQL queries to support reporting, data extraction, and system integration.
• System Implementation: Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to implement new systems or enhancements. Ensure that solutions are tested, documented, and deployed effectively.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support for banking IT systems, including troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing solutions to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and changes. Generate reports and metrics to track system performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with business users, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure that IT solutions align with business needs.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure that all IT systems comply with regulatory requirements and security policies. Participate in audits and assist with implementing security measures to protect sensitive financial data.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional, SQL certifications) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Analyst. Proven experience with SQL and data analysis.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing databases.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to analyze complex systems and business processes.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Project Management: Experience managing or participating in IT projects. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
