Description

The Security Engineer will be responsible for safeguarding Emeralds data and IT infrastructure, by implementing and managing robust security measures. They will ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, manage disaster recovery processes, and provide technical support to the team.

This role will report directly to the Infrastructure Lead and will sit within the Infrastructure Team. The successful candidate will do an in depth analysis across the full Infrastructure estate, to determine the current security status and report on recommendations.

However, we also believe in face to face collaboration, and our UK colleagues meet once a month for team time and quarterly for company get togethers in our Leeds office, so we ask that you be within a commutable distance that you are comfortable with in order to attend the office on those occasions. 

Day to day we’ll trust you to:   

  • Design, document and implement security measures to protect IT infrastructure and data assets.
  • Collaborate as part of the Infrastructure team to plan and execute a disaster recovery solution
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members across Technology, acting as Technical Security Subject Matter Expert
  • Provide technical security input to assist project delivery
  • Responsible for technical delivery of the Security Roadmap
  • Build effective relationships with internal clients and external service providers.
  • Manage security monitoring alerts and provide efficient response and support
  • Provide technical Cyber Security and Security Breach incident and response
  • Manage Microsoft 365 E5 security stack
  • Provide regular security assessments and reports
  • Keep up to date with new attack vectors and security trends
  • Support ISM in the production of Information Security policies and procedures

You’ll need to have:   

  • Strong knowledge of Azure systems operations and architecture
  • Excellent personal time management and organizational skills
  • Effective communication across all levels of the business.
  • Proven track record of timely delivery of projects

Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate

Experience:
  • 3+ years proven experience as a Security Engineer or similar role
  • 3+ year’s experience with Azure cloud services and infrastructure
