Position Summary
This program is a 10-week full-time opportunity that provides real work experience with a team in your business area. You will be aligned to projects to lead or contribute to while also participating in networking, development, and career exploration activities. Our Corporate Interns can apply for future full-time roles during the program and have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a post-graduation role.

The IT Internal Audit summer internship program is from May 27th – August 8th 2025.

CVS Health follows a 3 days in office (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) hybrid work model providing office-based colleagues the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice.  Our IT Internal Audit Program office locations are: Cumberland, RI (Headquarters). No housing or housing stipend will be provided, but interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired.

The hourly rate is $23 per hour with 40 hours/ week, no work on July 4th (company holiday), and two days of paid leave.  Please disregard the range listed.

CVS Health’s Internal Audit Department serves the Audit Committee and assists management in achieving goals by conducting independent and objective assurance and consulting activities.

You will work on:
The execution of IT and Digital audit activities alongside a team of experienced IT auditors, gaining exposure to the various components of the audit lifecycle including:
•Perform and document IT and Digital audit activities in accordance with professional standards and the organization’s audit methodology
•Execute testing and create work paper documentation
•Meet with colleagues throughout the enterprise to understand and document business processes under audit
•Perform detail testing as defined by the test program to define, analyze, and validate information

Audit Team Support:
•Demonstrate a commitment to integrity and the company code of conduct, and a respect for diversity and inclusion
•Contribute to overall Internal Audit Department team norms to promote a positive environment and improve team effectiveness

Required Qualifications

•Ability to work full time for the duration of the 10 week internship program

Preferred Qualifications
•Have internship, work, or project experience in related field such as data and information technology (Data Analytics/Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems) finance, accounting, or business

•Show strong written and verbal communication skills
•Have experience with data analysis and visualization tools, for example Microsoft Excel to maintain spreadsheets and perform moderately complex functions

•Have experience with technical skills including but not limited to cyber security, network security, data protection, etc.
•Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications
•Have an interest in obtaining full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation

Education
You must meet the follow qualifications:
• Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2025 and August 2026
• Anticipated completion of bachelor’s degree program by full-time start date (January 2026 through August 2026) or equivalent experience. Master’s students completing 3+1 or 4+1 programs (a Master’s/MBA program immediately following your bachelor’s degree) may be considered
•Have a major, minor or concentration relevant to the position. Examples include: Data Analytics/Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or Business

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:


 

$17.00 - $31.30
