THE JOB

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Platform Manager to join our Data Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of our new Data Analytics Platform, known as The Phoenix Platform. This role is critical in ensuring that our data strategy is implemented effectively and that the platform delivers the expected benefits to the business.

KEY TASKS

• Oversee the development and implementation of the Data Analytics Platform.
• Ensure adherence to data governance and development principles.
• Manage day-to-day activities of the Data Engineering & Governance teams.
• Collaborate with the Data Operations & Strategy Director to support the wider Data Strategy Implementation.
• Champion the Data Stewardship program and promote a data-driven culture within the organisation.
• Manage risks associated with poor data quality and ensure data accessibility for all relevant stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines ensuring scalability and reliability ensuring that core applications remain unaffected.

REQUIREMENTS

And now for the nitty gritty:

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to include proven team leadership and management experience in a rapid pace of change environment, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and productively across cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are also essential.

You will have strong knowledge of Azure and SQL, coupled with extensive expertise in data management and platform development, in addition to data governance and data quality management.

Familiarity with data integration techniques, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline frameworks will also be required.

Finally, you will be resident in the UK with valid and unrestricted right to work.
