THE JOB

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Governance Lead to join our Data Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating and delivering the Data Governance Framework as defined within our broader business strategy. This role is critical in ensuring that our data assets are well-managed, high-quality, and effectively utilised across the business.

KEY TASKS

  • Champion and implement the Data Governance Framework as defined in our Data Strategy.
  • Monitor, identify, and remediate data quality issues impacting business operations.
  • Collaborate with business areas, Data Operations, and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to address data quality issues.
  • Champion the Data Stewardship program and promote a data-driven culture within the organisation.
  • Manage risks associated with poor data quality, especially in external applications such as customer-facing chatbots.

REQUIREMENTS

And now for the nitty gritty:

The successful candidate will have proven experience in data governance and data quality management to include knowledge of data management principles and best practices.

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to include team supervisory or management experience, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and productively across cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are also essential with Azure DevOps expertise strongly preferred.

Finally, you will be resident in the UK with valid and unrestricted right to work.
