IT Business Analyst 

Location: Nationwide, Eastern Standard Time Preferred (Remote – Home Office)

ICF is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to work within a dynamic and highly innovative team environment in our Innovation & Customer Engagement Group. The IT Business Analyst will support tasks within the software development cycle and be responsible for system data together with the business intelligence it provides. Support project delivery on IT projects for the energy efficiency and utility sectors, and will contribute to a team that brings high-quality products and innovative solutions to our clients.

What you will be doing:

• Support all aspects of the software development cycle including requirements, design, testing, and delivery of energy efficiency tracking and reporting tools 
• Work with stakeholders of IT systems to define the system requirements and design approach, 
• Communicate regularly and effectively with team members as to the status of various tasks, including presenting during status update meetings 
• Work with stakeholders of IT systems to define the system requirements and assist in identifying the best design approach 
• Develop an understanding of the client processes and procedures and help identify improvements relative to technology 
• Understand the capabilities and application of ICF’s IT systems and support a team of senior technologists to deliver solutions for clients  
• Be the first point of contact for users experiencing issues or requesting updates, provide one-on-one technical assistance and/or delegate tasks to the appropriate contact as necessary  

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in (IT, Computer Science, Quantitative subject or related fields)(Candidates can substitute 1 year of experience for 1 year of education)
• 2+ years of professional work experience with IT
• 2+ years of experience developing standard documentation, including requirement and design specifications, use cases, test plans and scripts and other supporting system documentation 
• 1+ years of experience in MS Office products, such as Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint 
• 1+ years of experience with issue tracking and project management tools such as JIRA, SharePoint and/or Smartsheet 

What we would like you to have:

• Experience and understanding of basic SQL, HTML, CSS scripts and code a bonus!
• Excellent, professional written and oral communications highly preferred
• Experience/Exposure in the utility, energy, and/or energy efficiency sectors is a plus 
• Strong customer service focus, project planning, attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Effective time management skills and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlines 
• Experience with testing software, tracking issues and working with developers to ensure that requirements are being met and a high-quality product produced  
• Experience with content management systems, including user roles, configuration, and content editing

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$57,737.00 - $98,153.00
