IT Analyst – Autosys (Data Process Automation)

Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for leading the development, implementation, maintenance, and support of scheduled data process job automations to meet the requirements of the business partners and accomplish objectives. Provides solution leadership for assigned team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•    Supports, monitors, reviews progress and accuracy of batch job flows
•    Performs calendar maintenance
•    Handles escalated issues resulting from batch job failures and documents root cause
•    Analyzes overnight failures and works with application analyst teams to fix frequently failing jobs
•    Coordinates with the development team and contributes improvement suggestions for job flow design
•    Monitors IT best practices and develops appropriate standards, policies, and guidelines.
•    Architects new automation flows that may include process integration and ETL functions.
•    Works with other analysts to modify existing automation flows to meet business needs
•    Build comprehensive automations in pre-prod environments and package requests for production promotions  
•    Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•    Partners with the ERP system administration team in all aspects of process automation and environment promotions
•    Keeps automations current. Scans for automations no longer needed and performs correct removals as scheduled.
•    Provide forecasting reporting in support of planned major system updates.
•    Develop, execute, and manage planned automation for shut down / start up events.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant academic discipline strongly preferred
3+ years of professional IT & IS experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•    Proficiency with Linux/Unix Operating system including shell scripting
•    Ability to perform thorough research and evaluate multiple solution paths using various system tools and sources …
