The Opportunity
The Associate role is critical to our firm’s ability to deliver timely and high-quality internal and external reporting, and  ensuring the quality and integrity of our investment data. It is focused on entering investment transaction data and managing investment reporting.   

The ideal candidate loves operations, is detail-oriented, analytical, and improvement-focused with some experience or knowledge of private investments.   You are passionate about operations in general, and are focused on transactional processing, data reconciliation, auditing, and input. You have an understanding of basic private investment concepts, such as reading capital account statements, valuation updates, capital calls, familiarity with private fund structures.  The Associate role is a full time, remote position and can work from anywhere in the US with work hours aligning with Eastern Standard Time (9-5:30 with some flexibility).  As a remote, people-first culture, we care deeply about our team members’ connections to one another and as such, travel 2-3 times per year to company events will be required.  

Key Responsibilities

Investment Operations
·       Collect, organize and manage monthly/quarterly/annual Fund reporting
·       Identify and record daily investment activity including NAV updates
·       Use attention to detail and logic to ensure transactional data quality
·       Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations to maintain data integrity in legacy and new investment management system
·       Assist with preparation of client reporting deliverables
·       Collect and organize client investment recommendations
·       Use judgement to escalate issues and requests appropriately

Process Improvement & Collaboration
·       Proactively propose and document process improvement opportunities and become part of the solution
·       Document processes and best practices for use by the Investment Operations Team
·       Provide an elevated level of customer service to internal stakeholders
·       Communicate effectively within team, cross-functionally, and externally with fund contacts

Qualifications

·       ·       Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related field; minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, finance or investment operations/servicing; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.  ·       Experience working with private investment data preferred. 
·       Strong Excel skills and ability to interface with various technology systems
·       Energetic and organized individual; highly attuned organizational skills, attention to detail, professional demeanor, ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands·       Knowledge and passion for using investing as a means by which to engender social or environmental impact·       Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement and ability to identify and implement process improvements, especially through the use of systems and technology·       Able to develop a sense of urgency around processing and response timelines·       Resourceful in searching for responses to questions and developing solutions·       Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams required·       Proficiency with cloud-based collaboration tools Box and Asana preferred·       Experience working in a virtual working environment preferred
