Our work depends on an Interoperability Network Engineer joining our team to support the Indian Health Services (IHS) Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) program. As a Interoperability Network Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the system-to-system data interface work across the program.

HOW AN INTEROPERABILITY NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Design and implement interoperability network configurations between the EHR system and various systems, both internal and external to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Work alongside IHS and its data partners to analyze data exchange between key laboratory, radiology, immunization, pharmacy, etc. systems, and design communication protocols accordingly for successful data transfer.
  • Facilitate detailed HL7 v2, X12, HL7 CCD/CDA and FHIR interfaces design discussions with clients.
  • Work with OCI and other network subject matter experts to strategize and future-proof low communication/no communication facility connectivity.
  • Work with Interoperability Lead to quickly address urgent or last-minute, critical connectivity issues successfully, and report to senior management on progress.
  • Work with the Testing Lead to develop testing, and integration use case scenarios.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • 8+ years of relevant analyst experience.
  • Design and development experience with Cerner Millennium Open Engine, ESO, ESI highly preferred.
  • Understanding of various system-to-system data communication protocols, including TCP/IP, FTP, sFTP, HTTP, and HTTPS.
  • Design and development experience with HL7 FHIR, HL7 CDA/CCDA, HL7 v2, and other Health Data exchange formats.
  • Must have experience working with large complex integrated delivery network deployment of an EHR such as Cerner or equivalent EHR platforms.
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of the program.
