The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for anĀ International Production Editor supporting our National Center office that is located in Dallas, TX. This role can be home based.

The International Production Editor is responsible for the editorial quality and consistency of international training products and related materials developed by Healthcare Business Solutions Programs. Translated into more than 13 languagesā€”distributed globally in print and electronic formatsā€”these products provide training in cardiac arrest, first aid, stroke, and other emergencies and generate revenue to support the American Heart Associationā€™s mission.

Responsibilities

  • Provides production editing on international training products in all media, as well as related materials such as exams, marketing collateral, and training network communications. Includes proofing layouts and comparing translated material against English source for consistency and completeness of all elements.
  • Follows checklists, style guides, process documents, graphic design specifications, and other quality tools; provides updates and improvements to quality tools as needed
  • Reviews work of editorial contractors and media developers and provides feedback
  • Communicates with internal and external project team members to ensure thorough and efficient editorial reviews
  • Performs usability testing in online courses, DVDs, apps, and websites
  • Maintains organized records of work performed; uses version control
  • Assists with setup of globalized/localized source files, templates, and terminology management systems
  • Continually upgrades knowledge of American Heart Association products and programs
