Internal Audit Intern (Part-Time)

Job Overview
The Internal Audit Intern is responsible for performing a variety of tasks/projects that address the needs of the department. As possible, a reasonable balance will be made between the intern's learning goals and the specific assignments.
Availability:
We are looking for a candidate who can start immediately and work part-time (up to 16 hours per week), with the ability to transition to full-time hours during the summer.
Key Responsibilities
Executes quarterly sales cutoff procedures for proper accounting treatment, including ensuring that equipment revenue is recorded in the correct period and properly supported by underlying documentation
Assists with various substantive procedures to support external auditor’s year-end audit
Assists with executing financial and SOX compliance audit projects, including documenting and discussing audit results with audit managers
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

Work Experience:
No experience required.
Preferred Education:
Typically High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training.
Pursuing a degree in Accounting or other related field.
Travel / Physical Demands:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
Compensation:
The posted hourly rate for this internship position is based on both your education and location.
Candidates possessing up to and including a high school diploma can receive either $15 or $16/hr depending on location.
Candidates currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent can receive either $18 or $20/hr depending on location.
Candidates possessing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and currently pursuing an advanced, post-graduate degree (i.e., MS, MBA, JD, etc.) can receive either $22 or $24/hr depending on location.
