Job Summary:Responsible for managing the ADOT experience for the Intern Program, including but not limited to: ADOT Open House, Orientation, Pilot Programs, Experience Surveys, Job Fairs. Collaborates with ADOT divisions to create an ADOT Experience Matrix for the Interns. The Program Manager will collaborate, and provide support to divisions at ADOT utilizing the Intern Programs. Collaborates with the various areas of ADOT to identify need, position availability and budget; recruiting; maintaining the website and promoting ADOT as a preferred choice for employment. Serves as an additional point of contact for Interns. Provides support and guidance to all participants in the programs to ensure the goals and objectives of the programs are met. Develop goals and measurements reflecting the success of the programs. Updating and maintaining guidelines and forms used by the participants in the programs.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:Manages the ADOT experience for the Interns program. Develops and creates the ADOT Open House, partners with the New Employee Orientation (NEO) program for orientation, participates in Pilot Programs, develops Experience Surveys, attends Job Fairs, plans recurring professional/personal development initiatives. Supports recruiting activities, serves as an additional point of contact for interns, holds monthly intern team meetings for topics related to professional development. Provides support and guidance to interns to meet the goals and objectives of the intern program.
Collaborates and supports divisions of ADOT to increase participation in the Intern Program. Builds relationships with High Schools, Colleges, and Vocational Programs to promote program awareness. Writes articles regarding the Intern Program to be published by ADOT Communications. Coordinates with HR and Communications on marketing efforts. May provide input regarding the rate of pay for the interns.
Develop goals and measurements to reflect the success of the Intern program. Maintains and updates Intern Program Guidelines; and survey data from participants to measure program health. Tracking and reporting of program data to ensure goals are being met.

Three (3) years of experience managing or assisting with program management.
Pre-Employment Requirements:This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
