An Integrated Marketing Communications Intern is a student who assists in media relations, advertising and promotional efforts for the American Cancer Society’s mission including events, patient services, health education and volunteer recruitment.
Responsibilities may include:
- Complete clerical and administrative duties.
- Develop social media campaigns.
- Draft press releases and media alerts.
- Write personal interest stories.
- Prepare promotional materials.
- Support social media strategies developed by either the National or Regional teams.
- Assist in implementing plans to increase engagement on social media channels.
- Provide creative ideas to help to emotionally connect with the ACS audience and deliver a high-quality customer experience.
- Develop and post content to the region’s social media channels.
- Experience using Canva is preferred.
Position Requirements:
- Must be available for entirety of 8-week program: June 2 – July 25, 2025, at 37.5 hours per week.
- Full-time student, if you are an undergraduate student, you have completed your freshman year of college.
- Have a minimum of a B average (cumulative 3.0 on 4.0 scale).
- Plan to continue your education in the following term/semester.
- Upload a resume upon application submission.
- Note: an internship assignment may coincide with your last term/trimester as a full-time student, but the internship must be disengaged upon graduation.
The rate for this position is $18/hour. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
