Responsibilities

• Assist information security team in scanning, evaluating and reporting on vulnerabilities across CareCentrix’s infrastructure environments. Assist infrastructure teams in validating results and developing remediation plans
• Assist information security engineers and analysts in developing and documenting security procedures
• Assist information security team in reviewing and triaging SIEM alerts
• Assist information security team in reviewing and triaging endpoint detection and response (EDR) alerts
• Collaborate with information security analysts to analyze and triage phishing emails and email security alerts
• When necessary, assist the organization’s incident response team in identifying, containing, eradicating, and recovering from cyber security incidents
• Assist information security team in researching and implementing processes or products selected to improve the organization’s security posture

Qualifications

• Hourly Range: $18.00 - $21.00 / Hour
• Academic Majors: Pursuing degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field (candidates in non-IT degree paths may be considered if they possess exemplary technical skills and experience)
• Technical Skills: Basic familiarity with Windows operating systems, Linux/bash, and core information security principles.
• Strong analytical skills and creativity.
• Participation in extracurricular information technology activities: preference will be given to candidates who maintain a home lab, have completed packet capture analysis exercises, or participate in HackTheBox or TryHackMe exercises or events.
