The American Heart Association has an opportunity for a research intern on our Health Care by Food team. The American Heart Association’s Health Care by Food™ initiative is addressing barriers to the widespread adoption of healthy food as a treatment for acute and chronic disease and the health inequities that result.

The ultimate aim of the initiative is to improve health in cost-effective ways through evidence-based food is medicine interventions that are covered by private and public health insurance and accessible to the millions of people in America living with or at high risk for acute and chronic health conditions. The research intern will support the needs of the Health Care by Food team in a variety of ways, described below.

Internship Overview:

• Time Commitment: 25 hours per week
• Internship Duration: 9/9/24 – 12/6/24
• Location: Remote
• Salary: $23.00 per hour
