Intern, Executive Directorate, Family Planning 2030

FP2030 is a global partnership of governments, civil society, multilateral organizations, donors, private sector partners, and researchers committed to supporting people’s right to voluntary, quality contraception. Our vision is a future where everyone, everywhere has the freedom and ability to lead healthy lives, make their own informed decisions about using contraception and having children, and participate as equals in society and its development.
The FP2030 Support Network consists of five regional hubs: North, West and Central Africa; East and Southern Africa; Asia and the Pacific; and Latin America and the Caribbean, and North America and Europe, led by an Executive Director, supported by an Executive Directorate team, who reports to the Governing Board. Each Regional Hub is headed by a Managing Director supported by a small team and hosted by an NGO within the region. Together, these five business units comprise the FP2030 Support Network.
The Executive Directorate Intern will support the FP2030 Global Executive Directorate team with a variety of duties, including supporting coordination of the Support Network, Business Development and Monitoring, Evaluating, and Learning (MEL).
This is a paid opportunity from January 27, 2025, through May 23, 2025 and offers an hourly
compensation rate of $17.50 per hour for individuals currently enrolled in or recently graduated
from (within 8 months of graduation) an associate degree or bachelor’s degree program; and $20
per hour for individuals currently enrolled in a graduate program.

Essential Functions
The Executive Directorate intern will primarily support the Executive Directorate team with potential to support other portfolios based on interest and capacity.
- Distribute messages within organization on behalf of Executive Directorate.
- Coordinate meetings across time zones and take meeting minutes to track next steps and action items.
- Support cross-team cultivation and learning opportunities.
- Support Executive Director in special projects.
- Manage/schedule travel for Executive Director.
- Conduct desk-based research on potential donors and funders to FP2030. Summarize findings in a donor profile to support decision-making and prioritization of donors.
- Support development of pitch materials for donors, such as slide decks, concept notes, and proposals.
- Support collection of activities and results from the regional hubs to illustrate in our bi- annual progress reports.
- Support routine tracking and compilation of results (FP2030 outputs and outcomes) for MEL reporting.
- Organize/coordinate MEL platforms and events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Candidate must be enrolled in a degree-granting program during the internship or must be a recent graduate (within 8 months of graduation) of an undergraduate college or university.
- Interest in and passion for sexual and reproductive health and rights, family planning, global health, human rights and/or international development.
- Comfort with working with data (quantitative and qualitative).
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stress.
- Ability to meet regular attendance/tardiness policy.
- Must have a personal laptop computer and access to the Internet.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter.
- Ability to take problems head on with a creative approach
- Previous work or volunteering at a non-profit or agency preferred.
- Must be available to work a maximum of 24 hours per week.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- This position will report to the Executive Associate & Board Relations Liaison with additional oversight, support, and mentorship from the Director of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning and Manager of Business Development.
