THE OPPORTUNITY:
Sephora Internships provide an inclusive and comprehensive experience that equips young professionals with the tools needed to align their passions with work. The 10-week internship program develops early career professionals by providing interns with hands-on learning, personal and professional networking opportunities, and the ability to work on projects that directly impact the business.
The Sephora internship program is also a prerequisite for consideration for LEAP, the cross-functional rotational program that provides on-the-job training in each of three Business Units-Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising, over the course of nine months. LEAP prepares successfully performing trainees for a full-time, entry-level role in one of the three Business Units. Interns are invited to apply to LEAP at the beginning of the summer internship.
PROGRAM DETAILS:
An inclusive and engaging experience that develops technical and professional skills through weekly virtual workshops, networking opportunities, and career panels that provide exposure to Sephora’s career growth opportunities.
2025 PROGRAM DATES:
- June 2 - August 15, 2025
- Working hours: 36hrs/week. Monday – Friday, PST
- June 16 – 19: On-Site Week in San Francisco at headquarters office
- June 30 – July 4: Week off for vacation
POSITION TITLE: Accounting - Inventory Control, Intern
YOUR ROLE AT SEPHORA...

As an Intern on the Inventory Control team, you will be responsible for supporting the team with vendor disputes, assist in the review and analysis of store physical inventory counts, responding to internal and external inquires/requests, along with assisting some aspects of month-end financial close.
Reporting to the Inventory Control and MAP Senior Accounting Manager, you will be directly involved in the store physical inventory count and vendor dispute process with adhoc tasks for month-end financial close.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:
- Assist in the review and analysis of store physical inventory counts. This includes identifying SKUs for recount, working with the Retail Operations team to ensure timely inventory posting, reconciling recount result and identifying efficiencies and implementing them.
- Support the team with vendor disputes and follow up with DCs. This includes tracking disputes through the system and investigating any discrepancies between Sephora's data and the vendor's data.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of processes related to accounting procedures and internal controls
- Assist with month end close.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business/Finance with basic knowledge of GAAP.
- Prior Internship preferable
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and complex Excel spreadsheets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – able to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to pick up responsibilities quickly and work with limited direction.
- Strong organizational skills, attentive to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduating in 2025 or 2026 (undergraduate or graduate degree)
- Remote program – work schedule must align with Pacific Standard Time
- Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.
- Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions *
- Available for the 1-week On-Site office experience in San Francisco, CA
The target hourly pay for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 per hour. The actual hourly pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the individual applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
