Job Description Summary

Provide analysis, design, delivery and administration of learning solutions. Design and develop course curriculum. Support the learning needs for small to medium scale transformational projects. Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and transfer of knowledge. Work closely with the team to ensure programs align with and contribute to business and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support the learning needs of the organization, including new products and systems projects; design and develop online training courses, resources and job aids that support the success of the learning programs.
  • Deliver and assess process, system, and functional training to include new employee foundational content and ongoing skill-building and course work.
  • Analyze the needs of the business unit to ensure that the design and documentation of learning materials is effective and aligned to produce key performance outcomes and critical results.
  • Work with various business departments to formulate and document processes/procedures, workflows, and subsequent updates.
  • Work with business areas to ensure application of knowledge on the job.
  • Establish and maintain a regular learning and development schedule for employees to drive continuous and ongoing improvement.
  • Maintain learner development history, business process and system training curriculum, through systems and reporting databases and monitor effectiveness of programs.
  • Develop curriculum and work closely with each team area to keep the documentation updated as changes occur.
  • Develop and deliver presentations utilizing different mediums.
  • Support learning efforts for transformational projects, new products, technology, and system enhancements by assisting with the documentation and implementation of curriculum.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with business area members, including management.
  • Stay up to date on industry, policy, and compliance changes. Monitor and assess training needs.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain support communications on a consistent basis.
  • Continue to grow and develop as a learning professional by contributing to the success of the team; demonstrate and share best learning practices with business groups and team members, and act as a role model in the learning professional field.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business education, communication, or equivalent work experience
  • Life license, or obtain within six months of hire
  • Two years learning and development experience
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Proficiency in content and curriculum development and management
  • Documentation/technical writing skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to incorporate creative and innovative solutions in a learning environment
  • Project management skills that include research capabilities and effective prioritization
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training experience in a corporate environment
  • Insurance/financial services industry experience
  • Experience in building and maintaining E-learning materials
  • Web content development and database maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and learning management systems

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $54,500-$68,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
