Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Audit Accountant with intermediate to senior-level experience in UK audit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in external audit and financial reporting, and will play a key role in supporting the setup and delivery of audit services within a growing function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute audit assignments for a variety of UK-based clients in accordance with UK auditing standards (ISA UK).
• Perform risk assessments and develop appropriate audit strategies and procedures.
• Prepare audit working papers and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards.
• Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting frameworks (FRS 102, UK GAAP).
• Liaise directly with UK managers and clients for audit queries, follow-ups, and issue resolution.
• Support the development of internal processes, audit templates, and best practices as the team scales.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in audit, ideally with exposure to UK clients or standards.
• Strong understanding of UK auditing and accounting principles (ISA UK, FRS 102, UK GAAP).
• ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist preferred, but not required if experience is extensive.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with UK-based accounting firms or in an offshore setup is a plus.
