American Stone is looking to hire a Remote Intermediate Accountant to help with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory. No work experience required, Masters Degree in Accounting or related field required. Open to International Candidates who've completed study in the US or an American University.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEMBER OF OUR ACCOUNTING TEAM
As a full-time accounting clerk, you are key in conducting accounts payable. You'll enter invoices and data into our Odoo system and pay bills.
This remote position requires you have and maintain your own office equipment and computer. You'll need to have a high-speed internet connection and dedicated home office. Other terms apply.
You'll process payroll. This includes employee hours; accounting for pay-check deductions and withholdings; preparing pay slips. For certain employees you'll calculate commissions. You'll create purchase orders per instructions. You'll keep DOT employee files updated. You'll feel great satisfaction through seeing how much you help customers and keep our relationships with suppliers and customers running smoothly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, such as sitting for extended periods of time
- Experience with accounting and/or database programs, such as Peachtree, Excel, Access, Quicken, etc
- Master's degree in accounting systems, accounts payable, and/or accounts receivable
Prior experience in collections is preferred, but not required

The schedule is negotiable, but should generally be during our business hours. Pay is $18.00/hour.
