Full Time Call Center
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Shift may start as early as 8:30am or start as late as 9:30am
$18/hr-$20/hr
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Intake Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the intake process, gathering necessary information from clients, and ensuring seamless communication between clients and internal teams. The Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating the initial stages of client engagement and must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patient/Customer Interaction:
- Act as the initial point of contact for patient/customer, addressing inquiries and guiding them through the initial appointment scheduling process.
- Gather relevant information from patients to assess their needs and determine eligibility for services.
Documentation and Data Entry:
- Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date client records through meticulous data entry.
- Ensure that all required documentation is collected and stored appropriately.
Coordination with Internal Teams:
- Collaborate with internal departments to relay patient information and facilitate a smooth transition from intake (scheduling) to service delivery.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive understanding of patient requirements.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the intake workflow and contribute to the development of streamlined procedures.
Compliance:
- Adhere to all relevant policies, regulations, and compliance standards throughout the intake process.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or social services setting.
- Clear understanding of insurance-related terminology and processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and strong IT skills for efficient workflow.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Familiarity with relevant compliance standards.
- Empathetic and patient demeanor.
- Ability to work collaboratively, in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability to evolving processes and procedures.
