Insurance Billing/Collection Assistant II (Hybrid) - Physician Billing Services

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs Medicaid spend-down insurance follow-up billing and collection duties on various financial classifications to ensure timely and accurate payment of physician charges.
- Reviews patient accounts to verify the accuracy of information including insurance, eligibility, invoice resolution, correspondence, remittances, requests for additional information, or other appropriate handling.
- Utilizes Epic, system tools, and Medicaid websites for spend down, claim submission, claim status, attachments, eligibility, and authorization/referral inquiry.
- Answers ACD phone line assisting patients, insurance companies, and internal departments with questions and inquiries.
- Consistently meets the Quality Assurance (QA) and meaningful efficiency standards of working invoices/accounts each day and follows best practices for one-touch resolution as established within the department.
- Interacts with management and staff members to discuss issues.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or manager.

- Hybrid of remote/work from home and office.
- Office is located at 1234 Kingshighway Blvd, Ste 1800.
- Work is fast-paced and demanding with time constraints and productivity and efficiency requirements.
