Instrument Regional Sales Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join Emerson! This position can be based in the Cleveland, OH or Buffalo, NY metro areas. Primary responsibilities include providing regional sales leadership and coaching to employees located in Ohio and New York. In addition to managing an experienced team of sales professionals, you will ensure order bookings meet the assigned goals, while providing outstanding customer service to new and existing accounts and making the world healthier, safer, and sustainable. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Managing direct report sales professionals, including providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them succeed and grow in their careers.
  • Drive critical business unit initiatives to gain market share.
  • Identify business development opportunities with an understanding of the market dynamics to develop a comprehensive sales plan for continuous growth. 
  • Collaborate with your peers, business units, and Emerson Impact Partners to drive customer benefit.
  • Maintain competitive awareness and appraise the company of significant trends or events.
  • Accomplish regional objectives within established budgets.
  • Implement approved administrative policies and procedures.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of related experience in sales/sales management, or equivalent. 
  • At least 2 years of managing direct reports or other leadership responsibilities
  • Sales Experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience leading a team of sales professionals 
  • Previous experience selling instrumentation devices in the Process Control industry or related industry is strongly preferred. 

The total target comp range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
