Codes healthcare records for the purpose of accurate data, reimbursement, research, statistics for planning and comparative quality data in compliance with federal regulations according to diagnosis, operation(s) and procedure(s) using the latest edition of International Classification of Diseases (ICD) classification system, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) system and Evaluation and Management (E&M) guidelines. Assigns charges including but not limited to emergency department and injection/infusion and abstracts as needed.Position Specifics:
• Schedule: Full time, 40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday
• Location: 100% remote, accepting applicants that can work remotely and live in AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MO, MT, NC, NE, NV, TN, TX, OH, WA, or WI.
• Compensation that aligns with your experience
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate’s degree in business, healthcare or a related field is preferred.
- 2 or more years of medical coding experience and/or successful completion of the Coder II competency checklist is required.
- One of the certifications listed below is required:
- Hospital coder: RHIA, RHIT or CCS. In lieu of RHIA, RHIT or CCS credential, candidates with COC , CIC, or CPC credentials may be considered.
- Home Health/Hospice coder: RHIA, RHIT, HCS-D, or HCS-H
- Clinic coder: RHIA, RHIT, CPC, or CCS-P

Pay Range:
$22.05 - $33.08A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
