POSITION DESCRIPTION:

INADEV is seeking a highly-motivative Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team to help secure the development, modernization and enhancement of Federal government information technology (IT) systems. As an ISSO, you will provide support for assessing, recommending, facilitating, implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. Additionally, you will maintain operational security posture for IT systems to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.

RESPONSIBILITY:

• Assisting with the management of security aspects of the information system and performing day-to-day security operations of IT systems
• Evaluating security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing information
• Performing vulnerability and risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation (C&A)
• Providing configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware
• Managing IT system changes and assessing the security impact of those changes
• Preparing and reviewing documentation to include System Security Plans, Risk Assessment Reports, C&A Packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices
• Supporting security authorization activities in compliance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework
• Developing and maintaining documentation for C&A in accordance with Federal policies
• Developing and updating the system security plan and other IA documentation
• Administering the user identification and authentication mechanism of the information system
• Obtaining C&A for information systems under their purview
