Hinkley Point C primary location, Hybrid working.

Opportunity

 

We're seeking an Information and Data Lead to join our team, reporting directly to the Commissioning Manager. In this critical role, you’ll have full oversight of the information and data essential for the safe and efficient execution of the Commissioning phase of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project.


As the Commissioning Information and Data Lead, you will be the central authority on data and information management within the Commissioning team and serve as the primary contact for all related inquiries across the broader HPC project. Your expertise in Commissioning processes and data requirements will enable you to collaborate effectively with various project teams, ensuring our objectives around safety, quality, timelines, and cost are consistently met.

What you’ll be doing


This position offers a unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire Commissioning Programme, including its technical delivery and organisational structure. You’ll be instrumental in establishing a data-centric approach within the Commissioning Programme and its integration with the wider HPC project, ensuring seamless information flow and high data integrity across all areas.

 

  • Having full oversight and scrutiny of the information and data following in and out of commissioning.
  • Working with the various process owners in Commissioning to understand the information and data requirements to enable effective commissioning.
  • Regularly engaging and building relationships with the wider project to ensure these requirements are met in line with the schedule.
  • Providing information to assist the Commissioning Manager and Senior Commissioning Manager in meeting project-level objectives and milestones.
  • Overseeing and approving data quality standards.
  • Managing the complete roadmap of information flowing into and out of the Commissioning team.
  • Supporting Data Owners in implementing effective data management practices.
  • Monitoring data quality and proactively addressing any issues.
     

Who you are


As our next Data Lead, we’re looking for you to bring strong foundation of knowledge in technical information and data management, who can confidently lead and drive results in a project-driven environment. You will bring excellent communication skills, an ability to break down complex information for diverse audiences, and a proactive mindset geared toward accountability and results.


Additional requirements for this role include:

 

  • Technical information and data background and the ability to lead others in a project-driven environment.
  • Delivery mindset, able to get results through clear accountability and the confidence to influence stakeholders both internally and externally. 
  • Good communication skills and the ability to convey complex information to others.
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline.
