The Agile Hardware Solutions (AHS) Department strives to develop, mature, and deploy advanced product development capabilities across Mechanical Engineering, enabling the business to deliver high quality work products at competitive discriminating velocity & cost. AHS also partners heavily with the Configuration and Data Management functional disciplines to ensure the highest levels of velocity and efficiency through the product release life cycle, but also ensuring the highest level of quality and rigor of the design to exceed customer requirements and satisfaction.
The Agile Hardware Solutions (AHS) Department seeking an Import/Export Commodity Classification Manager.
This position is remote.
The JCA Center of Excellence (COE) is a collaboration between Export/Import (EXIM) Engineering and Global Trade that supports the Warfighter by completing jurisdiction and classification determinations (JCA) for hardware, technical information, and software/firmware (products) for company exports and imports.
The EXIM Analyst will report to the EXIM Engineering team and fill the Commodity Classification Manager (CCM) role by managing the workflow of product classifications in accordance with Raytheon policies/procedures based on the U.S. government (USG) regulations while adhering to Raytheon’s values and principles.
What You Will Do
Coordinate the Jurisdiction and Classification Control Board (JCCB), a business process to ensure policy and regulation compliance for JCAs, for all programs across the Raytheon business unit.
Manage and understand the lifecycle of JCAs in accordance with Raytheon policies/procedures.
Host JCCB meetings, take meeting minutes, and support post-JCCB action items.
Assign and reassign JCAs through their lifecycle in accordance with Raytheon policies/procedures.
Analyze JCA types to ensure that JCAs go through the appropriate review cycle in accordance with Raytheon policies/procedures.
Communicate and be a liaison between Engineering, Global Trade, and the JCA COE as needed to support JCA completion and time-constraints for programs.
Provide guidance and influence others on the JCCB process - including policies, procedures, and classifications.
Analyze data sets to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Work with minimal oversight from manager.
Contributes and develops goals for the team.
Be present at all team meetings, program review (e.g., JCCB), and teleconferences as required.
Work with other JCA COE teammates to enhance continuous learning, regulatory knowledge, and improved best practices within the JCA COE.
What You Will Learn
Complete all required trainings (e.g., JCA recertification, Ethics modules, and corporate trainings) on time each year.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, and 2 years of prior professional experience.
Experience in Product Management, Configuration Management, or EXIM/JCA Role.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Experience with the U.S. Government (USG) U.S. Munitions List (USML) and Commerce Control List (CCL)
Trustworthy and professional individual focused on the mission.
Strong computer skills, including understanding and proficiencies in MS Office applications Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience with JCA Tools (e.g., OCR, xClass) and/or CommonPDM (cPDM)/Windchill.
