In this role, you will be accountable for the NA import planning process, managing the replenishment of local inventory by importing goods from overseas BASF locations and third-party facilities. Your goal will be to ensure that the imported goods are available to meet business and customer demands within the short and mid-term planning horizons.

Guaranteeing the proper import order management, monitoring the product availability, the allocation of products to replenishment orders according to forecast, as well as monitoring inventory levels and delivery service for imports, including and following up NCM’s to correct process deviations when necessary.

Proving your strong communication and interpersonal skills as you interface with customer service, regional planning, global planning, and product management regarding availability to promises and backorders. This opportunity requires constant international interactions to guarantee that North American orders are fulfilled and to solve possible challenges.

Successfully engaging with Regional and Global Supply partners (or Procurement, if applicable), you will identify, discuss, influence and resolve any process variation that could create demand/supply imbalances.

Demonstrating your critual thinking and analytical and problem-solving skills in managing inventory levels throughout the Supply Chain, consistent with our targets, including managing slow-moving or dysfunctional inventory and pursuing disposition of these dysfunctional inventories. You will analyze KPI trends to identify areas of opportunity and implement improvement where applicable.

- Have a BS/BA Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field. APICS (CPIM) certification a plus.
