Job Overview
The Immunization Compliance Management Specialist, in the Division of Student Affairs and functioning out of the Student Health Center, will play a critical role by overseeing and managing the Georgetown University’s immunization compliance initiative. This position is responsible for ensuring that all students meet the immunization requirements as mandate by university policy and District of Columbia statute. The Project Manager will be housed in and integrated into the Student Health Center as a Georgetown University staff member. The Project Manager will be supervised by the Medical Director of the Student Health Center and the AVP for Student Health within the Division of Student Affairs.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining the immunization database.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with relevant Georgetown University partners.
- Serves as liaison to faculty, staff, students, and external agencies regarding procedures and expectations related to resolving compliance issues.
- Generate reports for university stakeholders.
- Analyze immunization data trends.
- Produce messaging for immunization requirements and registration holds when compliance is not met.
- Assists with the development and annual review of immunization guidelines, establishment of immunization standards, policies, and procedures for the Georgetown University Immunization Compliance requirement.
Work Interactions
The Immunization Compliance Management Specialist will work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including the Student Health Center, the Department of Communications, the Office of Public Health, three Offices of the Registrar (Main Campus, Medical Center, Law Center), University Information Services, PyraMed representatives, students, parents/guardians, staff, faculty, and other relevant stakeholders to develop implement, and assess effective compliance strategies, to provide guidance, and create educational materials to assist with understanding of the immunization requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
This role requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as public health, health administration, nursing, or a similar discipline.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in health services, public health, or a related filed is expected. This may involve working in health compliance, health education, or health program management.
Experience in project management, including, planning, implementation, and evaluation of health-related programs or initiatives is required. Knowledge of Washington, DC immunization requirements for college students, including stare and federal regulations, is crucial.
Experience in data analysis and the ability to assess compliance and develop strategies for improvement are critically important.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with students, health care providers,
Student Health colleagues, Communications, Office of the University Registrar, UIS, and other relevant stakeholders.
Knowledge of HIPPA and FERPA and other privacy regulations concerning health information is essential for this position.
Preferred requirements and qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Master’s degree in public health MPH), health administration (MHA) or a related field is preferred.
Experience with immunization tracking systems or health compliance processes is highly desirable.
Previous experience in a supervisory role,
Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$54,616.00 - $100,493.33Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
