Human Resources Business Partner, North America (HRBP)

The strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a key role in aligning the organization’s human resources strategy with its business goals in each of our four regions. This position acts as a strategic consultant to employees and people leaders in North America, providing guidance on HR-related issues, driving organizational development, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws. The HRBP is responsible for influencing, coaching, and partnering with all employees in the region to support the company’s strategy and employee engagement.
This is a full-time position located in New York City. We offer flexible workplace policies that allow for working remotely 3 days a week and require being in our NYC office 2 days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays).
Essential Functional/Regional Responsibilities

- Talent Management:
- Serve as the primary recruiter for North America while driving talent acquisition strategies, ensuring that the region attracts, retains, and develops top talent (on average 20 positions per year)
- Review regional performance reviews
- Facilitate succession planning and career development initiatives to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution in alignment with company policies and local laws.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Mitigate HR-related risks by proactively addressing potential issues and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.
- HR Projects and Initiatives:
- Lead or participate in global and regional HR projects, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with business needs.
- Continuously assess and improve HR processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Support Learning and Development:
- Help identify training needs across the region to support employee growth and development.
- Collaborate with global HR to deliver relevant training programs.
- Support Organizational Development:
- Help collaborate with regional leaders to assess organizational structure and implement changes that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Help lead change management efforts to support business transformation and cultural initiatives.
- Supporting Strategic HR Leadership:
- Partner with your region’s people leaders to understand business challenges and provide strategic HR guidance and solutions.
- Recommend and implement HR strategies that support the overall business objectives, focusing on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop strategies that improve employee engagement, retention, and performance.
Requirements, Experience and Qualifications
The ideal incumbent will have (the following is an example):
- 7+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic HRBP role
- Proven experience in a multi-regional or global organization
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business results
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills
- Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Experience in managing change and driving organizational development initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree or professional certification in Human Resources preferred

Compensation
Expected Salary: $101,800 - $120,000*
Target Annual Incentive bonus: 10%
*Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and location.
