HR Talent Lead

Job Description:
The Talent Leader is both a strategic and hands-on role that will function as an influential business partner, collaborating closely with business leaders, managers and the HR team to align strategic priorities and business needs. This is a key position that will collaborate with internal partners and business leadership to identify, develop, and execute solutions in the full spectrum of human resources disciplines to promote a culture of high performance, strong engagement and consistent growth.
The position would be a remote work schedule; qualified candidates must reside inside the continental US.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Be a confident and trusted partner to leadership teams in a geographically disbursed organization, as they work with multiple government customers
- Proactively look for ways to improve the function’s effectiveness and enhance organizational impact
- Coach business leaders and managers on all stages of performance management, compensation practices, 1:1 communications, retention, and goal setting
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations concerns, with empathy, objectivity, and a thoroughness that lead to thoughtful recommendations and solutions
- Lead with data and analytics to drive business insights and help inform decision making
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, talent development and succession planning
- Manage large company-wide initiatives for your business units (e.g., merit planning, goal setting, organizational changes – any number of varying initiatives through-out the year)
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to provide seamless HR support and guidance to the business
Qualities/Skills you possess
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a Federal Government, Defense Contractor environment. that includes compensation, employee relations, performance management, and retention strategies.
- Excel in communication, written and verbal, difficult conversations and problem solving
- Ability to prioritize, quickly shift gears and be resourceful (but not without genuine and on-going support!)
- A track record of establishing strong and productive partnerships with all levels of employees and managers; trusted advisor
- Business acumen, critical thinking and results oriented
- Proven ability to deliver results and maintain a high level of service satisfaction
- Advanced knowledge and utilization of Microsoft 365: Excel, Outlook, Word and Power Point

- Professional certification, Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
