Spot trends, share your wisdom, and ensure best practices are the norm. We love fresh ideas and continuous improvement, so your input on processes will be highly valued. Drive interventions, identify emerging issues, and collaborate with legal and trade unions to keep everything running smoothly.

This role is based at Heysham 2, supporting both sites, and is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Pay, Benefits & Culture

Alongside a starting salary of from £38,000 per annum we offer a competitive benefits package, including a company pension scheme, and a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Personal Contract agreement.

We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.

At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.

Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.

We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll be the superhero of HR advice and guidance, building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, including Trade Union representatives. You’ll provide timely advice on a wide range of HR practices, helping managers understand and implement our policies related to your employment case portfolio.

You’ll support managers in informal and formal case meetings, offering HR advice from start to finish and escalating cases when needed. Collaborate with managers to create hearing packs, attend formal case meetings, take notes, and prepare outcome documentation. Keep records up-to-date and suggest improvements, presenting options for managers and providing feedback.

Use technology to track progress and maintain accurate case records, discussing actions with the HR Business Partner Team and/or Employee Relations team when necessary. Brief the HR team on case statuses and support the wider community with valuable feedback and insights. Promote and champion diversity and inclusion as key elements of our culture.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a CIPD Level 3 (or above) qualified HR professional, or someone working towards it, with solid generalist HR experience. Previous experience in HR or employee relations and a strong understanding of employment law is essential. You should be able to interpret data, use dashboards to spot trends, and maintain accurate HR systems.
