JOB SUMMARY
The HR Business Partner I provides transactional HR support by managing day-to-day employee relations functions and assisting with the execution of HR policies and programs. This role is responsible for handling HAD, AEN, and/or CC&S cases, ensuring timely resolution. Supporting a smaller region, the HRBP I works closely with leadership to implement HR strategies and contribute to a positive workplace environment.
JOB DUTIES
- Support a small region by providing HR consultation and solutions that align with organizational goals, driving initiatives that help achieve business objectives and foster regional success.
- Support employee relations by addressing employee concerns, assisting in conflict resolution, and providing guidance on company policies to foster a positive workplace environment.
- Support employee relations by preparing termination requests and assisting in the administrative investigation process.
- Collaborate with leadership to provide guidance on progressive corrective action, ensuring that corrective actions are accurately presented, documented, and compliant with company policies.
- Provide strategic support by delivering employment metrics and analyzing workforce trends to assist leadership in decision-making and long-term workforce planning.
- Analyze HR data on an ongoing basis, offering actionable insights focused on optimizing employee performance, engagement, and retention.
- Responsible for handling HAD, AEN, and/or CC&S cases, ensuring thorough investigation, accurate and thoughtful summaries, and executing actions once approved.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- HR Certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in Employee Relations.
- Proficiency in Workday, SharePoint, and the MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment law.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills with a proactive approach.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with leaders at a regional level.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence others.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.

The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds.
