The Role
As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), you'll play a critical role in aligning our people strategy with business goals. You’ll be a trusted advisor, working closely with leadership to drive engagement, retention, and performance.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with leadership to develop HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Act as a consultant on employee relations, engagement, and workforce planning.
- Implement best practices in talent management, performance coaching, and development.
- Drive HR analytics & metrics to improve decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, employment laws, and regulations.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Ensure sound HR practices that align with local, state and federal laws and guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- 2-5 years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state employment laws & HRIS systems.
- Experience in healthcare or ABA (a plus!).
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification (preferred).
- Ability to work independently in remote role.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to explain HR concepts clearly.
- Great interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to build relationships and handle workplace issues.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills to support HR decisions.
- Leadership and supervisory experience to guide and support teams.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR regulations to ensure compliance.
- Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and HR technology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reports and presentations.
- The ideal candidate should preferably be based in one of the seven states where Acorn Health operates: FL, IL, MI, MD, PA, TN, or VA
