Our mission is to empower building materials suppliers with great technology. There are over $1,000,000,000,000 of building materials bought in the US every year, and many of these transactions happen in on-prem point-of-sale systems. We want to bring these transactions online, enabling better experiences for contractors and homeowners alike.

This Role

What you'll achieve with us 🥇

You'll be on the ground floor of a high-growth company:

  1. HR Management:

    • Oversee and manage the daily HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.

    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals and local labor laws.

    • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR-related inquiries and issues.

    • Coordinate and facilitate employee training and development programs.

  2. Compliance:

    • Ensure the company’s HR practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

    • Monitor and stay up-to-date with changes in labor laws and regulations in both the Philippines and California.

    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.

    • Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees and management.

  3. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.

    • Prepare and submit required compliance reports and filings.

    • Generate HR and compliance reports to assist management in decision-making.

  4. Employee Relations:

    • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.

    • Promote company culture and values through employee engagement initiatives.

    • Organize and participate in employee recognition and wellness programs.

  5. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the management team in Redwood City to align HR and compliance strategies with company objectives.

    • Coordinate with external legal advisors and consultants on compliance-related matters.

    • Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements ✅

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR management and compliance roles.

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations in the Philippines and California.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficient in Ashby, Rippling, and Google Applications.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
