IT Helpdesk Technician - Tier I

ONSITE in Provo, UT

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION OVERVIEW

Sky Zone is looking for a full-time entry-level IT Helpdesk technician to join our corporate office in Provo, UT to assist with our growing network of extreme trampoline parks. As a tier I tech, you will be the first point of contact for our head office, remote workers, and remote park locations to identify and address IT Support issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Able to communicate efficiently with remote users to diagnose and troubleshoot common IT issues (such as card readers, park printers, receipt printers, desktops, laptops, network equipment, software, etc.)
  • Order, prep, and ship computers and peripherals as needed to remote users and locations.
  • Entry-level POS configuration and assistance
  • Work with other IT members, teams, and leadership as needed to help with projects and initiatives.
  • Occasional travel may entail for project-specific needs.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.  Completion of Bachelor's degree in computer science and technology information or related focus is considered a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in helpdesk, troubleshooting, windows, and POS system experience
  • Ability to be flexible with scheduled days and hours in an effort for our team to be able to provide round the clock support. (Including weekends)
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of Windows desktop administration.
  • Knowledge of Windows Management Instrumentation
  • Data entry skills
  • Technical writing
  • Tiered helpdesk structure
  • Ticket scoping practices
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Soft Skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills on both a technical and business level. Must be detail-oriented and logical.
  • Ability to learn new business and technical concepts.
  • Organization in a remote environment
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred Knowledge of:

Atlassian Products:

  • JIRA Service Management
  • JIRA Software
  • Confluence
  • RMM tools such as Ninja, TeamViewer, or ConnectWise
  • VoIP Phone Systems
  • Agile/Scrum Methodologies

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Position requires the ability to remain stationary at a desk for extended periods of time while working on a computer.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. 

Compensation is $21 per hour.  Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, and vision (401k eligibility based on age and tenure requirements).
