The Opportunity
Abt Global seeks a mid-career quantitative evaluator with data development expertise to support the design and execution of data-intensive federal government evaluation projects focused on Health and Human Services program data. This may involve health service delivery, behavioral health (mental health and substance use), rural communities, and related topics. The selected candidate will bring their expertise in data management and analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and ability to learn quickly to support cross-functional teams to process and manage grantee data. They will utilize R to perform data management tasks and prepare analyses and visualizations to effectively and efficiently communicate insights to support program decision-making.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as task lead or evaluation lead on projects, exercising independent judgment and initiative to navigate an approach to meet client expectations, and oversee the execution of that approach by team members, including creating/updating supporting documentation, developing project workflows and processes, and providing task oversight to other analysts.
- Work closely with project leadership and staff to collaborate on and coordinate analyses and research. Distill and translate client needs to actionable analyses using knowledge and familiarity with available datasets.
- Provide support and guidance across the data lifecycle including data intake, storage, synthesis, automation, and analytical development.
